Every year during National Volunteer Week, we pause to reflect and celebrate the powerful impact volunteers make as part of the team at Cystic Fibrosis Canada. With empathy, passion and often lived experience, Cystic Fibrosis Canada volunteers are deeply involved in directing, driving and delivering so many of the core activities, programs and services we offer.
Cystic Fibrosis Canada is proud to partner with thousands of volunteers each year, whose contributions directly support the betterment of people living with cystic fibrosis (CF) in Canada. Volunteers play an important role in supporting a vibrant CF community in Canada that helps make sure people living with CF have lives filled with moments that matter and we couldn’t be more grateful.

The contributions of Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s volunteer community have helped to change the cystic fibrosis (CF) story — and what a powerful, encouraging and inspiring story it is. Thanks to their time and effort, we advanced research and care that has more than doubled life expectancy for a Canadian born with cystic fibrosis and brought CF to the forefront of Canadian and regional conversations. By volunteers generously donating their time and energy to support the important work we do, we can realize our vision of a day when no individual or family will be affected by this disease.

IMAGINE CANADA ACCREDITATION
CF Canada is committed to the highest quality standards of volunteer involvement and it has been awarded with Imagine Canada’s Standards Program accreditation.
With this achievement, CF Canada joined a select group of approximately 200 organizations dedicated to operational excellence. The Standards Program is a Canada-wide set of shared standards for charities and non-profits designed to strengthen practices in five fundamental areas, including volunteer involvement.
