A Day in My Shoes: Helen Meinzinger

Volunteers like Helen Meinzinger are the backbone of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. The work of the dedicated individuals who give their time has gotten us where we are today, and will carry us through to the day we find a cure. Helen Meinzinger is one of our incredible volunteers and a parent to a child with CF. This is a day in her shoes.

Helen’s Story

“My inspiration to volunteer will always be my son, but I am continually touched by the entire cystic fibrosis (CF) community. Our volunteers contribute so much and have an enormous impact on Canadians living with CF whether it is by raising awareness and funds in support of research, advocacy and clinical care or in giving them hope for their future and letting them know they are not alone in their fight to beat this fatal, genetic disease.

“When you volunteer for Cystic Fibrosis Canada you witness first-hand the impact the fundraising is having and you can’t help but be inspired by these incredible Canadian CF warriors. I dream of the day when we will all breathe easier for the future of Canadians living with cystic fibrosis and I won’t quit until we find a cure or control for cystic fibrosis.”

Volunteer today and help us create a world without CF.
