If there’s one thing we know about our community of Canadians living with cystic fibrosis (CF) and their families, it’s that although they live with a chronic illness, they’re just like everyone else. Their days may include medical interventions, pills and clinic visits, but they’re also filled with regular everyday things we all experience.
Whether it’s dropping children to school, volunteering at the local humane society, hanging out with friends, dreaming about fronting a rock band or going to work, for the most part their days are pretty typical. Canadians living – and thriving – with Cystic Fibrosis touch lives and change the world in unique and wonderful ways.
Today is Giving Tuesday, a global movement which many think of as the ‘opening day’ of the giving season, and we’re excited to share a preview of our 31 Reasons to Give campaign which officially kicks off on December 1st.
Throughout the month of December, we’ll be sharing stories from across Canada from the families in our community and the reasons giving to Cystic Fibrosis Canada (CF Canada) counts. Whether it’s helping pharmacists and paramedics living with CF continue to do their important work, giving brothers and sisters more uninterrupted play time together, allowing families to enjoy more game nights to ensuring no one ever needs a third double-lung transplant or weeks lost to hospital stays, there are so many reasons to give to CF Canada.
To date, $244 million has been invested into leading CF research, care and innovation in Canada. These funds support the 42 CF clinics delivering world-class care serving over 4,100 Canadians with CF.
Your donation will be doubled today thanks to a generous anonymous donor.
Stay tuned over the coming days to learn how you can lend your voice to the #31reasons campaign.
