Happy Halloween!

It’s the time of year for goblins, witchcraft, candy, horror movies, and ghosts.
For us here at Cystic Fibrosis Canada, it is the perfect time to revisit Raina Telgemeier’s graphic novel Ghosts.

Ghosts follows two sisters, Cat and Maya, and their recent move to an Oceanside town that will benefit Maya’s cystic fibrosis.

“Raina Telgemeier has masterfully created a moving and insightful story about the power of family and friendship, and how it gives us the courage to do what we never thought possible”.

It is deeply heartening to see a thoughtful representation of living with cystic fibrosis. In the book’s acknowledgements, Raina takes a moment to thank the CF community; “The cystic fibrosis community, especially the brave families who posted their stories online, was a constant source of inspiration as well as a great resource for understanding”.
