On Friday, September 14th, we shared news with you that TOBI and TOBI PODHALER are now available for cystic fibrosis (CF) patients in British Columbia through Pharmacare’s Special Authority Criteria.
Today, we are delighted to inform you that Cayston© is now listed by Pharmacare as Limited Coverage Drugs and will be available through Special Authority Request. The criteria for approval is “For the cyclic treatment of chronic Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in patients with moderate to severe cystic fibrosis and a deteriorating clinical condition despite treatment with inhaled tobramycin.”
Cystic Fibrosis Canada continues to actively advocate for access to CF therapeutic products in BC and nationwide.
