Cystic Fibrosis Canada has established our first Policy Advisory Panel on Access to Medicines to join us in driving our strategic priority of advocating for equitable access to prescribed therapies for every Canadian coping with cystic fibrosis. The new volunteer advocacy panel will provide invaluable guidance and professional support to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. The panel will contribute to key submissions in the drug review and approval process, and provide critical advice about emerging issues, trends, challenges and opportunities regarding access to medicines.
Selected from an outstanding roster of applicants this summer, Cystic Fibrosis Canada welcomes new panel members, Rebecca Agar, Pharmacist (Kitchener), Eva Cho, Pharmacist (Vancouver), Daniel Cortes, Pharmacist (Toronto), Dr. John Gjevre, Physician (Saskatoon), Dr. John Hawboldt, Pharmacist (St. John’s), Dr. Harvey Rabin, Physician (Calgary), and Joan Tabak, R.N. (Edmonton). The panel will meet for the first time on September 27, 2012 via WebEx.
