Meet the 2010 Great Strides™ Super Striders

Ella Whaley, 2

Ella has the most fun when she is with her big sister running around, playing in the park and dancing. Sitting still and sleeping are not a priority for this little girl!

Ella has been a little fighter since she was five months old and whenever she goes to the doctor, Lambie (her favorite stuffed toy) gets a check up too!

Juliana Eberschlag, 6 Super Strider Juliana

Juliana loves to play sports and soccer is her favorite. When she grows up, she wants to become a lawyer, just like her Dad! Everyday, Juliana has to take her enzymes and do “thumpty” (her physiotherapy) since she knows it will make her big and strong so she can continue doing all the things she loves to do.

Emma Chenier, 9

Super Strider EmmaEmma loves playing on her all girls hockey team as the goalie, and spends her other free time playing piano, soccer, going cross-country skiing and running track. When she grows up she wants to be two things, a doctor to help other people grow strong, and a veterinarian because of her love of animals.

Jeremy Laferriére, 29

Physical activity and creativity are a large part of Jeremy’s life! When he is not weight training or practicing martial arts, he loves to be creative and express his thoughts through writing. Jeremy believes that cystic fibrosis is a means by which one may strengthen themselves and is an integral part of his very being; just like the color of his eyes or the tone of his skin.
