The highest award granted by Cystic Fibrosis Canada is bestowed on an individual, couple or family who has made an exceptional contribution, of a national significance, to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. No formal limit governs the number of Volunteer Service Awards granted annually by Cystic Fibrosis Canada, but the award is bestowed with considerable discretion.
Named after the Doug Summerhayes, the first President of Cystic Fibrosis Canada, this award honours a person with cystic fibrosis who has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the CF cause.
Designed to recognize an individual (either with CF or not), who has displayed leadership to the CF cause through one of Cystic Fibrosis Canada chapters
Recognizes outstanding and long-term contributions to a Cystic Fibrosis Canada chapter in a leadership capacity by an individual, couple or family
Named after Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s Celebrity Patron, Céline Dion, the award acknowledges a volunteer individual, couple or family, who has made indispensable and sustained contributions to chapters at the “grassroots” level. The award recognizes those who can always be counted on to get the job done.
Named in memory of Julia Herbert, CF poster child from 1987 to 1989, the award is intended to acknowledge groups or individuals who have made a significant, on-going (i.e., at least five years) contribution to Cystic Fibrosis Canada through a chapter. This award is reserved for non-chapter (non-Board/Executive) members only.
The National Champion Award is designed to recognize service groups, corporations, companies and businesses that have contributed to the organization at the national level. Recipients of this award have embraced the CF cause and have become pillars of support for the organization.
Recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed to Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s mission at any level including researchers, clinicians and staff
Recipients of this award, through their outstanding dedication and excellent volunteerism, have wholeheartedly embraced the CF cause and have become pillars of support and leadership for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
Honours some of Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s most precious contributors who have contributed over the long term
This prestigious award is presented to a nominee who has exhibited exemplary dedication to the mission of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. The Hall of Fame Award recognizes an individual, couple, family or business that has had a tremendous and long-lasting impact on Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
