 Thanks to everyone who helped us 'wrap up' $40,000 towards cystic fibrosis research.  Special thanks to the countless (hundreds!) of volunteers who helped make it possible, each person who had their gift wrapped at our booths and to our partners and friends, North Hill Centre, Market Mall and Zellers @ Chinook Centre.

The results are in, $201, 601 raised at the Calgary Great Strides Walk!

CARSTAR contributes $15,000 to Cystic Fibrosis Canada from its Facebook Challenge!

CARSTAR Automotive Canada launched a special Facebook Challenge raising $15,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. They committed to donating $1 for every “Like” their Facebook page received (up to $10,000) to Cystic Fibrosis Canada until the end of February. Sam Mercanti, the President and CEO of CARSTAR, then upped-the-ante by offering an additional $5,000 if 10,000 “Likes” were reached. On February 7, 2011 the goal was achieved!!

Thank you so to the Cystic Fibrosis community for support in spreading the word to your Facebook friends. The goal could not have been achieved without the help of the whole community. Every “like” made a difference.

We are so grateful to CARSTAR and their network of collision repair centres for their incredible generosity.

• Gov’t of Canada employees can make donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada through the National Healthpartners campaign? Donations can be made through the Gov’t of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign conducted in partnership with the United Way every fall.

Donation of prizes and gifts

• Our chapter is always looking for auction items, raffle prizes and door prizes. Many people receive gifts that were given out of love and kindness, but have no use to the receiver. Turn this gift of love into a cure!
• Donate the gift the chapter and we will us it to raise funds to find a cure. No gift is too small or too large please help us with our fundraising efforts. We would also gladly accept gift cards (unused or partially used) and Canadian Tire Money, these items can be used to purchase auction items, gifts and prizes for our events.
• If you would like to donate a gift to the chapter please contact us there is a great need of prizes.
• There are many events coming up that would benefit from donations of silent auction items and prizes, please check out our Fundraising Activities section to learn more, and contact us at anytime with questions and we would be happy to tell you about all of our fabulous events coming up!
