Unfortunately, the 2012 event was cancelled due to the Rideau Canal being closed and unfit for skating. Stay tuned for event details and announcement for 2013! Hoping for a colder winter in 2013 that will allow this event to continue!!
This event, has been running for over 20 years! It is planned and organized by Carleton University Alumni - Scott Rondeau and Jonathon Knowles. It is an event ideal for those that love enjoying Canadian winter fun, skating on the Rideau canal and/or have a heart for supporting the fight against cystic fibrosis.
The Carleton Cup, aka “The Ultimate Canadian Triathlon” (Skate - Run - Drink), is an annual fun race held in Ottawa on the world's largest skating rink, the Rideau Canal. Racers in the Carleton Cup collect pledges to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
