From time to time, Cystic Fibrosis Canada will fund special research initiatives towards the goal of a cure or effective control for CF. Furthermore, Cystic Fibrosis Canada may partner with other Canadian granting agencies and charities to offer additional research funding opportunities.
The British Columbia Transplant Foundatiom partners with Cystic Fibrosis Canada and other foundations to support transplantation-related research in British Columbia. Applicants with proposals relating to lung transplantation for cystic fibrosis can submit to the October grants competition using Cystic Fibrosis Canada's application form and following Cystic Fibrosis Canada guidelines.
The notice-of-intent to apply is due August 1, 2010 with full applications to be submitted by October 1, 2010. A cover letter briefly describing how the proposed research relates to organ transplantation must be included with the application form. The funding for these grants will commence in April 2011.
