Advancing Health and Well-being

A number of treatments, from medications and physiotherapy to improved nutrition and transplantation, may help treat or reduce symptoms related to cystic fibrosis.

Multidisciplinary health care teams, in 40 CF clinics across Canada, offer outpatient specialized services to children, adolescents and adults with CF. Institutions hosting a CF clinic provide a wide array of health and psycho-social services.

By awarding clinic incentive and transplant grants - $1.9 million in 2009 - the Foundation enhances clinical and transplant care. This supplementary funding strengthens existing programs and helps ensure a consistently high standard of service for all Canadians who have cystic fibrosis.
