It is with a heavy heart we share with you the sudden passing of long-time Cystic Fibrosis Canada volunteer Judy Henry.
Judy was a dedicated volunteer for Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s Hamilton Chapter for over 28 years, and has filled many positions within the Chapter including Newsletter Editor, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President and President. Always filling in where needed and taking on more duties than one can imagine, Judy played an instrumental role in the Hamilton Chapter’s major events including the Chapter’s Great Strides walkTM and the Ride for the Breath of Life. She was also the driving force behind building a strong relationship with the local community, including solidifying a partnership with CARSTAR Automotive Canada Inc. and Kin Canada. Although not officially a Kin Canada member herself, Judy was named an honorary member of the Kinsmen Club of Hamilton.
Judy’s dedication to doing everything in her power to help find a cure or control for cystic fibrosis was inspiring and we are thankful for her many years of outstanding service with our organization. She was a great asset to the Hamilton Chapter and always made sure every volunteer she worked with knew they were truly making a difference in the lives of Canadians with cystic fibrosis. Our sincerest condolences go out to Judy’s family and friends during this difficult time.
