Walker Spotlight February
Welcome to the Walker Spotlight! Each month this page will highlight incredible walkers and fundraisers from across Canada.
This month, we are featuring stories of how and why walkers fundraise early. Check out their stories below. To be featured in an upcoming Walker Spotlight, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
I fundraise for the CF cause for my nephew, Andrew, a handsome nine year old with cystic fibrosis. Each year my team, Andrew’s Avengers, strives to raise as much money as possible to END CF, as I want Andrew and all the wonderful families across Canada touched by CF to have long and healthy lives. Fundraising early gives me the time to raise as much money as possible as it can be hard work. Asking for donations is the key to successful fundraising and in the end, it is so worth it as the more friends and family I ask for their generous support, the more dollars I raise to advance CF research and enhance care. One day we will live in world without cystic fibrosis. WALK and DONATE to MAKE cystic fibrosis HISTORY.
Fundraising early maximizes the amount of time I have to connect with friends and relatives. Also as the coordinator of our local walk in Regina, I want to be a good role model for those interested in participating. I am constantly looking for new and innovative ways to increase both my team’s donations and motivate others to do the same. Sharing ideas with others has been the cornerstone of our local campaign. And I think it has helped keep our event as one of the top walks across Canada.
