Mitch served as Superintendent of Education and Acting Director of Education with the Durham Catholic District School Board where he held a variety of academic and corporate leadership portfolios. He joined the board of Cystic Fibrosis Canada in 2012 and served as Chair from 2017 to 2020. He has served on local and provincial boards as both a member and Chair. Also locally focused, Mitch served as the President of the Durham Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Regional Director for Central Ontario and Chair of the former Ontario Provincial Association. Mitch has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, a Bachelor of Education degree from Brock University and a Master of Education degree from the University of Toronto. Mitch holds additional executive certifications from the Queen’s School of Business and the Rotman School of Management.
