Thank You to our Volunteers

APRIL 22, 2022

During National Volunteer Week, we recognize and are thankful for the many ways our volunteers contribute, driving progress for people in Canada impacted by cystic fibrosis.

While our volunteers support us for different reasons and in different ways, together you are all connected, working towards the same goal of improving and lengthening the lives of Canadians living with cystic fibrosis. This year’s National Volunteer Week theme is Volunteering is Empathy in Action – a fitting theme that certainly describes our community.

Every day volunteers are helping us go further for Canadians living with cystic fibrosis. We have many volunteers who help advocate for access to CF drugs such as Trikafta. Ranging from our National Advocacy Network who lead impressive outreach to those who sign petitions and meet with their elected representative, our volunteers are helping to ensure that all who can benefit from Trikafta, can access the drug.

We are also fortunate to have Chapter members, community supporters and partners like Kin Canada who host events, and help coordinate the Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History, raising critical funds to support our work. Finally, there are many volunteers who guide our work, including our Board of Directors, clinicians, healthcare workers, Elevate members and more. Our volunteers are the foundation making change possible. Your support has been, and continues to be, invaluable to the cystic fibrosis community.

Despite the many challenges of these past few years, you didn’t let up and you pushed harder and further. We could not do this important, life-changing work without you.

Your contributions continue to motivate us.

On behalf of everyone at Cystic Fibrosis Canada, thank you for your support.
