What are you thankful for?

There’s no question that life with cystic fibrosis (CF) isn’t easy, but one thing we know to be true about our community is they are some of the strongest people on earth and never hesitate to live full, exciting lives. Thanksgiving is always a good time to pause, reflect and appreciate the wonderful people and things we have in our lives.

Here at CF Canada, we have so much to be thankful for!

  1. Researchers

oct-6_researchersResearchers across Canada are continuously working to find a cure for CF, and they continue to help us make progress in our fight. In 2016/2017, we’re funding more than $5.1 million in leading-edge research, supporting 52 research projects, 19 fellowship and studentship training awards, two national core facilities, and targeted research programs and partnerships aimed at advancing CF knowledge and achieving excellence in the quality of care for CF patients.

  2. CF Clinics

Across Canada, there are 42 CF clinics staffed with professionals who provide specialized multidisciplinary care for those with CF. Through our Accreditation Site Visit program, we work closely with the teams across the country to ensure the best possible care is being provided, and we’re thankful for the hard work and dedication that every single person working in the clinics provides.

  3. Our Amazing Community

The thousands of people living with CF and their loved ones never cease to amaze us and motivate us to do our best to make CF history.

  4. Our Volunteers and Donors

Without our volunteers and donors, none of our work would be possible. Whether you’ve joined our CARSTAR Walk to Make CF History, Shinerama, local community events, make online or monthly donations, or helped in any other way possible, you are helping us reach our goal of a world without CF every day. Together, we’ll END CF!

So, we want to know – what are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
