In memory of a very dear friend to the Original Joe's Family who lost her life to Cystic Fibrosis at 24 years of age, Run for the Lung is hosted annually to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Research.
Each year the Edmonton community comes together to show its support to all of the brave people who live with Cystic Fibrosis every day. We also honour those who have lost their battle with Cystic Fibrosis and continue to keep their spirits alive in this event.
The run-walk is through the beautiful Hodgson neighbourhood and it is an easy to moderate route with some beautiful scenery. The five km walk/run is full of fun activities, food, prizes and most importantly, the gathering of the amazing people in our community.
Each participant will receive an Original Joes Burger served to you from our famous H.E.A.R.T. Cart (Our Community Food Truck). We also have beer sponsors who donate brews to enjoy our burgers with for our "of age" Run For The Lungers!!
To date we have raised over $197,000 and continue to add to that number each year in attempt to better the lives of those living with this tragic disease. We are hoping to cross $250,000 this year!
