The health and safety of the cystic fibrosis community is of the utmost importance to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Due to the growing concern around COVID-19, Cystic Fibrosis Canada has made the decision to switch to a virtual walk this year. The decision was not made lightly; however we believe it is the prudent decision given the unprecedented circumstances.
In short, the ‘Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History: Virtual Challenge’ has just five (social distancing friendly) steps:
- Choose your challenge
- Tell your friends and family
- Complete your challenge
For more details, read our easy ‘Virtual Challenge: How to Guide’.
Note: in past years, we’ve offered a virtual walk options for people who are not able to attend the walk in-person, but would still like to get involved and fundraise. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all walks are virtual.
If you’ve already registered for the 2020 Walk, no need to worry. Your walk location has automatically become a virtual walk and you can continue raising funds for your specific walk location and the funds raised will go back to helping your chapter.

We have created virtual walks for those who cannot physically attend a walk site, but would still like to fundraise for the cause. When registering, simply select the virtual walk in your province and start fundraising!
We ask that anyone who attends the walk registers through the website. This helps us to better understand the number of people attending walks in order to accurately estimate number of lunches, supplies, etc. to order. You may bring your child under the age of 2 as a guest on walk day, however your child will not receive lunch, etc. If you would like your child to receive these things, please register them as a walker.
