Diamond Ball committee

NOVEMBER 25, 2022

The 21st annual Fusion Gala in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada was held on October 22, at Angus Glen Golf Club in Unionville Ontario. Fusion 2022: The Diamond Ball was a sparkling success, raising an incredible $445,000 in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada!

For the first time since 2019, volunteers, donors, guests and sponsors gathered to raise funds to support CF research, advocacy and healthcare. At the event, guests enjoyed an evening of live entertainment, fine dining and dancing and tried their luck at unlocking the signature prize – a diamond necklace -worth $8,500! Guests also had the chance to bid on exciting prizes in the silent auction and heard from inspiring speakers including Stephanie Stavros, the first person in Canada to go on Trikafta and Dr. Amanda Morris, the winner of the Fusion Gala Research Fellowship award in 2021.

This year, the generosity of the many organizers, sponsors, guests and donors, made it possible to raise $445,000 in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Since 2002, the Gala has raised an astounding total of $4.5 million dollars in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

“This event would not have been possible without the support of the Fusion committee members, organizers, sponsors, donors and guests,” said Patricia McLaughlin, Regional Executive Director, Ontario, Cystic Fibrosis Canada “We would like to recognize the Anderson and Griffin families who continue to dedicate their time and resources to ensure the success of Fusion year after year.”

Since its inception in 2002, the Fusion Gala has raised an astounding $4.5 million in support of CF research, advocacy and care and continues to provide an opportunity for the community to come together in support of Canadian living with CF. We are already looking forward to the 2023 Fusion Gala!
